Hong Kong Day 4

I was disappointed to wake up to a rainy morning. We wanted to explore the rest of the park. Luckily, it turned to a light drizzle by the time the park opens.

We checked out of our room and shifted our luggage to Mummy P's room before heading to the park. They were staying an extra night. Envy...

The rain stopped shortly and we explored the remaining of the park. It was again great. We visited AdventureLand and Toy Story Land.

The kids took pictures with Woody and Jessie.

And with the "toy soldiers" too.

The rides are kids friendly and the girls totally enjoyed themselves. Lil Isaac took quite a few rides too.

The girls also took picture with Tinklebell. Tinklebell was really kind and took time to talk to the girls. So sweet. Actually, I found Tinklebell quite a poor thing. She had to smile so sweetly and brightly for every single picture. I bet her mouth ached like mad after every photo session.

Lil Isaac then took his nap and jiejie went on the train ride with the rest while I waited for them.

I was so bored waiting that I ended up taking pictures of myself. Then I brought a chicken leg bcos the people sitting next to me were eating one and it smelled really good. They even gave gloves with the chicken leg. Very innovative.

Then, it was more pictures!

This is the only family picture that we took.

And with Busslight Year! Lil Shauna and Booboo heart Busslight Year. I didnt manage to take the picture of the girls hugging Busslight Year. Priceless.

The girls had a Minnie Mouse ice cream too. But in actual fact, the adults ate most of the ice cream.

We caught the parade before we left the park.

Lil Shauna was reluctant to leave the park. I can totally understand bcos I didn't want to leave too. Boo. Luckily there was no tears.

We went back to the hotel for our bags before grabbing a cab to the airport, which was only about 20mins away. We had a light dinner in the airport and Lil Isaac was tired and cranky. We tried so hard to keep him awake.

We were again the last few to board the plane so that we didnt have to struggle too long with a confined tiger. He was still cranky and felt asleep when I gave him his bottle during take off. He didn't wake up until arrival in Singapore and only went back to sleep at 2am. Jiejie was cooperative and self entertained with the inflight movies. She felt asleep at 10pm and only woke up briefly when we carried her off the plane, onto the cab and finally back home. She continued sleeping until the next morning.

I hate to be back. I want to be in Disneyland! I am suffering from intense post holiday blues and I need another holiday to recover from this holiday. Muahahaha. I really did enjoy myself this time. In the past, when I sometimes go on holidays with the kids, I dont enjoy myself and actually got fustrated over child care and all. This time, I simply didnt want the holiday to end. We are so going back to Hong Kong again. We had fun and the weather is so nice!

Hong Kong Day 3

Day 3 - Disneyland!
I couldn't explain why but I was really excited. DL was even more enjoyable than OP bcos I could take the rides with the kids. OP's kiddy rides are only for kids.

We had Tim Sum bfast at the hotel before setting off to DL. Lil Isaac napped while the girls entertained each other. It was a peaceful ride. The hotel rooms were available when we arrived and we checked into the rooms before heading to the park. Woohoo!

I heart the Disney shops.

We took loads of pictures even before we stepped into the park.

I realized that we didn't explore the entire park during our last trip bcos I saw so many more and took rides that I never did. I even took the indoor roller coaster with Lil Shauna. That was when I found that she's taller than 102cm, the minimum height for the ride.

The trip could be better if not for the rain. It drizzled and we had to look for shelter and indoor rides. Otherwise we had to brave the rain. The cold was manageable even with the rain, so long as there was no wind.

It was simply food, rides and shopping! We left the park at sevenish without staying for the fireworks. We couldn't tell if they will have one given the weather and the kids started fussing. Moreover, it was getting cold.

Then we realized that we could see the fireworks from our hotel room! Although less magnificent than seeing it at the Park, it was still good. The kids were excited and happily bouncing on the bed.

I was hoping for an early night, which did not happen. The kids were suddenly energized when we came back to the hotel room. Even jiejie who did not took an afternoon nap was bouncing around. We ended up doing more shopping at the Gift Shop.

Hong Kong Day 2

Day 2 was much better. Breakfast was at one of the local Cafes and was uneventful. The kids were entertained by the fishes at one of the shops while the adults finished their bfast.

We headed to Ocean Park (OP) with the Ong Family via cab and we had great fun, so much more than when we were there 1+ year back. Then, I was burning with fever.

We visited the Marine Aquarium and it was very magnificent. It is something like our underwater world but probably bigger. Lil Shauna loves fishes.

This is them looking at the fishes swimming over head.

Then we had lunch at one of their eating places. The food was alright. We continued to explore the rest of the park after lunch. The place is huge. We took some train ride to the mountain top to find that the rides are all meant for adults. We then took the cable car down to the kiddy rides area. Train ride and cable cars all within the park, so you can imagine how big the park is!

Lil Shauna and Cailyn went on the merry-go-round countless times. Until Dady Lim had to declare that he didnt want to go on any more rides that go around in circles. Lol.

So did Lil Isaac. He definitely enjoyed the rides more than when we were in USS.

I brought my pump and wanted to express. However, the nursing room was few and far. I found one after a long walk but was occupied. I ended up expressing in the public under my nursing shawl, first time ever. Luckily, the place was noisy and my pump became relatively quiet.

It turned chilly in the evening and we left the park. The thing about winter is that the sun sets early, giving a false impression that it is late when it is not. After a whole day of fun, the kids were cooperative. No tears about leaving. We took a cab back too. We were too tired and cold.

We met up with the other 2 families for dinner. The kids, especially the girls enjoyed playing together. Then it was back to the hotel room for cleaning up before the kids finally hit the pillow at 10.30pm. Bedtime was delayed as Lil Shauna took a nap and Lil Isaac took 2 naps. The cool weather is just perfect for naps, especially when they were all bundled up.

I was tired but had great fun. Actually, thinking back, I didn't think we do much. I suppose the company made the trip so enjoyable. Most importantly, the kids had great fun. Bcos they were happy, so were we. :)

Hong Kong Day 1

We woke the kids up at 4.30am. It is part of the plan in attempt to knock them out during the flight. Lil Shauna was very cooperative at the idea of going to Hong Kong and bounced out of bed. Bcos jiejie didn't fuss, didi didn't as well. Hehe, a good start.

We arrived at the airport at about 5.45am. There was a Q for checking in. We had bfast, I expressed and Daddy Lim answered to nature's call. Then, we ended up at the wrong gate. I think we were the last to board the plane, about a few mins before the gate closes. I was half thinking if they will start calling for us over the PA system. Lil Shauna anxiously helped to call out to the plane to wait for us while we rushed to the plane. Too cute. Hohoho.

The plane ride was very much alright. Lil Isaac was knocked out even before the flight took off, just accordingly to the plan. Jiejie self entertained with a colouring kit and then watched some cartoon. She had a good portion of the delicious flight meal - omelette with some ketchup sauce and napped after her meal. Soon after, didi woke up.

Lil Isaac was manageable as well. He was kept entertained with lots of food. Lol. We woke Lil Shauna up 30mins before we landed and the kids were well behaved. At least they didn't scream the plane down.

We landed safely other than Lil Shauna's scare of wanting to poo poo during landing when we couldn't use the toilet. She managed to hold and lost the urge when we finally landed. Lol.

The Ong family took an earlier flight and were waiting for us at the airport when we arrived. We took a bus to the hotel. This is us happily posing bcos we are in Hong Kong!

We managed to check in immediately and took some time to settle down. We then met up with a senior, who is working in Hong Kong and spent the rest of the day walking to hunt for a good dessert stall. We eventually ended up at Habourcity for some lights show.

It was very cold, the kids were all bundled up.

Bcos the group was so big, progress was slow. We even ditched the original plan to go to the Peak. We were constantly waiting but nobody minded. I think it helps that we already had the mindset that there will be lots of waiting.

We caught a cab back to the hotel after the show. It was too cold and the adults were too tired. We tabaoed dinner to hotel and the kids went to bed at 10pm. Yawnz, we followed shortly after washing up. I was the maid this time and spent a good portion of my time in the room washing the milk bottles and all.

End of day 1...

Hong Kong, Here We Come

Greetings from the airport. I am in the nursing room doing my last express before we board the plane. Haiz, the down side to exclusive pumping but Lil Isaac loves my BM. Nainai and Daddy Lim are busy chasing the running kids.

This is our every first far overseas trip with Lil Isaac and I can't help worrying that I missed or forgot something. There are altogether 4 families, comprising of 10 adults and 7 kids. I think a large part of the time will be spent chasing kids and feeding them.

It is ok.. Breathe! Enjoy! I already asked Daddy Lim to constantly remind me to relax.
