We have a few Christian story books at home. Daddy Lim's aunt, i.e., Lil Shauna's grandaunt added the last addition - the Noah's Ark - last Christmas and Lil Shauna loves her new story book.










It is a really interesting book. Actually, it is a pop-up book and opens up to form the shape of an ark. Super cool.









Lil Shauna really loves it and can play with it with to 2 to 3 times a day.

However, the book is starting to tear under the torture of the princess. She will attempt to squeeze the big elephant through the small door and have torn 2 doors bcos big bear got stuck after she squeezed him into the tiny cage with a tiny door. -.o" Looks like it is time to buy her a new one for replacement. But I think books are really important, recently she learnt to say "baby Jesus sleeping" after we read her the story of Jesus' birth. :) And she says "God loves you", bcos she heard and seen that on the Christian VCD that we bought. Hehe. Praise the Lord.

Poor Daddy Lim

Daddy Lim used to be a movie freak. Before Lil Shauna comes along, we go for movie every week, sometimes even 2 movies in a week. We watch all kind of movies and movies were a lot cheaper then.

Movies are luxury after Lil Shauna comes along. It gets more and more difficult to go for movies bcos we need to get babysitters and we can only go for late-night movies which leaves us no energy for work or to chase after Lil Shauna the next day. I think we watched less than 5 movies since Lil Shauna arrived.

We had agreed that we will go for movie when the maid is here. My idea is to do that after Lil Shauna starts sleeping with the maid. However, the kick got to Daddy Lim last Sat and he was suddenly dying for a movie. He kept trying to ask me and I can hear how bad he wanted to go to the movie. But I was worried that Lil Shauna will wake up and cry if she cant find us and the maid cannot handle her. Then I was tired and was worried that we will be too tired to run after her the next day.

In the end, Daddy Lim went to the movie alone. So poor thing. I felt really bad. And my sis had to rub salt by telling me how bad it is of me to "abandon" my husband. -_________-" So, I have decided that we will go for a nice movie this weekend. Bb, let's go for the Crash of the Titans. I heard it is good. Hehe.

Lil Shauna can Blow her nose!

Sorrie for the lack of posts lah. My Company banned all blogs and I can only blog at night now, provoided I have the strength after chasing and tucking the princess to bed. Hohoho.


Lil Shauna fell sick recently. Running nose again. Yes, there is nothing to be happy about but she hasnt fell sick since we came back from HKG! And that is like one month ago. It is such an achievement if we remembered that she used to fall sick once every 2 weeks and the sickness can each last up to 2 weeks. It is as if she's always sick.


I duno what it is that kept her from falling sick. The supplements that I have been giving her or the lack of contact with her cousins. She always get the viruses from her cousins. And this time round, we realised that she can finally blow her nose when we ask her to, which makes it so much easier to get rid of the mucus that clog up her little nose. The last time, she may or may not blow her nose, depending on her mood. Hoho, our baby has grown up.

Concentration

Lil Shauna can now concentrate on one thing for a substantiate period of time. She can be entertained by something as simple as the string on her shorts for a long time. Actually, she was trying to tie a ribbon but did not success.

Complain Helps!

The cameras died on me again this morning. The cameras were up for barely 2 weeks and this is already the 2nd time that it died on me. The 1st time, my sis' friend has to come back and meddle around for a long while before he finally called D-Link technical helpdesk. The Technical staff made him waited for one over hour before they call back and the problem was eventually resolved.

This morning, the technical support took less an hour to call Daddy Lim back and he was at the computer trying to configure the cameras (all over again) with instructions from the technical support staff via the phone. After 2 hours, the call was was cut off (I wonder if the technical support hung up on us) and we ended up losing connectivity on all 3 cameras. Great, at 1st, we can still see 2, now none at all. -.o"

Daddy Lim was pissed. He's always pissed when he had to meddle with the cameras but the cameras are really irritatingly tough and I would be pissed too if I have to forgo my sleeping time and talk to some PHL or IND support staff for over an hour with no results at the end. So, Daddy Lim gave up and went to bed and I called D-Link again - to complain this time.

I made a lot of noise (I am good at that) and got to speak to the Supervisor eventually. I refused to wait and speak to some other technical support and the D-Link Supervisor actually provide an alternative. They are gg to call Daddy Lim back at 5pm to get some required information (dun ask me what. I am computer idiot) and they will get new cameras and do testing on the connectivity on the new cameras in their service centers. When the testing is done, we can collect them tomorrow, bring them home and fixed them up and D-Link will help us do the configuration online. The Sup said that customers who got back their cameras this way usually do not come back with negative feedback.

See! Complaining helps and no wonder Singaporeans love to complain! Bcos it get things done. I wonder what kind of culture we have. Haiz. And if I have not complained, Daddy Lim or my sis' friend will still be calling the hotline, waiting an hour or more for the technical support to call us back and go spend hours trying to trouble shoot with advices via phone call. I duno to laugh or to cry.

The Pros of a Maid

Jaclyn has been with us for over a week. Other than the 2 major wrongs, she's generally alright. But she still has a lot to improve when it comes to taking care of Lil Shauna. The fact that Lil Shauna is the most important thing still hasnt get into her head. She's still worrying about the stroller, the grocery, the dirty table, etc., over Lil Shauna. And her memory! Oh gosh, she's has done a fair share of cleaning and packing but on a few occasions cant remember where she has kept the stuff. I get pissed when that happens. I do hope that I can keep her and that will happen if she improve on the Lil Shauna's part.

Ok, enuff complaints. I am supposed to blog about the pros of having a maid, not the cons. Hehe.

1. Clean house
The house is really clean now. It is much cleaner than when we have a part-time cleaning auntie who comes once a month.

2. No housework for us
Well, ever since the part-time cleaning auntie came, the only housework that I do is laundry and dishes. Still that can be quite tiring after a hard day of work. Now, nothing at all. I dun have to wash a single thing. ;p

3. No chasing of Lil Shauna in the shopping mall
I like this one best. We bring Lil Shauna to ToysRus very often when we are at the shopping mall. Lil Shauna can go on and on and on without showing any signs of tiredness but her poor parents are dragging behind and complaining of tired legs. Now, while J runs after Lil Shauna, we can even afford to look at toys. Hohoho.

4. Extra pair of eyes and hands to look after Lil Shauna at home
Lil Shauna likes J bcos unlike us, J is more focused while she entertained Lil Shauna. We tend to steal glances at the TV. With J around and a willing Lil Shauna, we even get to lie of the sofa and watch TV while J plays with her. Hohoho.

5. Relaxing while outside
Just yday, I brought Lil Shauna to Fidgets, which is a huge indoor playground for kids.

Before J comes along, I was the one who climbed the structure and does stunt wif Lil Shauna. But yday, after getting them familiar with the structure, I actually got to sit at the cafe, drink coke and read magazines! Hohoho, good life leh.

6. Sit in the front passenger seat
Well, this only happens when Lil Shauna is willing. She is still sticky to me, which I dun mind. More than often, she will cry and scream pitifully when I sit in front and she's stranded behind with J. -.o"

Well, we still hasnt accomplished any of our to-do list. We had wanted to catch a move, to eat dinner without the baby, go Mambo.... Yes, we will slowly do those when Daddy Lim is back on day shift. :)

Aeroplane

I was opening the mails and gave the envelops + junk mails to Lil Shauna for her to have some fun. Surprisingly, the papers entertained her for a long while.

She started tearing the envelops. At certain point, she was focusing on folding a piece of junk mail.

She managed to fold it into a triangle shape and kept saying, "Mummy, triangle".

We had played paper aeroplane before and she started to tell me that she has an aeroplane.

The aeroplane kept her entertained for very, very long while. She even brought her aeroplane to bed and was playing with her aeroplane on the bed. Want to know how her aeroplane looks like?

It is either she's into some abstract art or she's super imaginative. Hohoho.

Wrong No. 2

This got me pretty angry.

I had already spoken to Jaclyn last night and told her that she cannot let our neighbour bring Lil Shauna downstairs in the future. I also reminded her that she needs to get permission to bring Lil Shauna to the corridor and that she CANNOT bring Lil Shauna downstairs.

This morning, I saw on my camera that Jaclyn brought Lil Shauna out. I wasnt sure if Daddy Lim gave permission. After awhile, I called home to check. The phone rang for a long while before Jaclyn finally ran in (while Lil Shauna slowly walked in) and tried to pick up the phone. I asked if she got permission to go "out" and she said "no". I reminded her that she must get permission.

I wasnt too upset until my sis text me that Jaclyn brought Lil Shauna downstairs! My sis woke up and couldnt find them anywhere. I waited until my mum came and I called home to ask Jaclyn and she said that Lil Shauna was fussing to go out and she obliged. I told her sternly that she cannot do so and reminded that I have told her several times that she cannot do so. If anything happen to Lil Shauna, she will not to able to bear the responsibility. Just then I heard my sis asking if Lil Shauna fell downstairs and the answer is "yes". Jaclyn said that she was running and fell. -.o" See, it just emphasized that if anything happen to Lil Shauna, Jaclyn will not be able to answer to me.

From now on, she will be banned from going out without us. We will see how it goes and decide if she should bring Lil Shauna to school alone when school starts. Haiz. I also warned Jaclyn that this is the last chance that I am giving her. If she brings Lil Shauna out or downstairs again without permission, I will return her to the agency. I will tell her again when I see her tonight. When it comes to Lil Shauna, she has no chance - something which I already told her when I 1st employed her. I didnt scold her but I think I was stern enuff.

Then my mum called to nag and nag and nag. The more I think about it, the angrier I am. I duno if it is bcos Jaclyn didnt understand me (but I repeated so many times) or she purposely chose to disobey or she didnt see the importance of what I say. Regardless, I am upset. Haiz.. Yes, I know, getting a good maid is like Ti-Kam.

Wrong No. 1

We told Jaclyn that she cannot bring Lil Shauna downstairs for walk without us or Popo. This is to prevent her from knowing other maids or even worse befriending some male foreign workers or basically minimising unwanted risk. -.o”

On Monday evening, there was an occasion that we asked her to bring Lil Shauna to the corridor to ride on her choo choo train bcos the neighbours’ grandchildren were out for some fun. This is also to give us some peace while we tried to fix the 3 cameras. We have one in the living room, one in the kitchen and one in the baby room. Jaclyn was told about the cameras and that I will be watching her.

The camera in the living room was not working yday but for most part of the day, somebody (either Daddy Lim, Popo or my sis) was home with the maid and Lil Shauna. The cameras are all working today (thanks to sis’ IT savvy friend). But only one was on (baby room) when I left home and I can see all 3 only when Daddy Lim switched them on.

When the cameras were switched on, I was surprised to not see anybody in the living room or kitchen or baby room. I called Daddy Lim and got to know that Daddy Lim had given his permission for the maid to bring Lil Shauna to the corridor to play with the neighbour's grandchildren. Then Daddy Lim went to bed while leaving them to still play outside.

Then, I saw the maid enter the house a few times, but without the baby, each for only a short while. Then she came back (again without the baby) and started wiping the table. She left the baby alone outside??!! Daddy Lim is already asleep and I called home. Jaclyn picked up and said that the neighbor had brought the baby downstairs!! She was told to go and bring the baby back and they only returned after a while. While waiting, I even panicked and called Daddy Lim to help but I think his phone was on silence mode. -.o"

They came back eventually and Lil Shauna is in one good piece. Phew. Well, at least she now knows that I am watching her. Last night, I also did feedback to her about the incident and also state our expectations to her. She's trying to stay busy. Whenever somebody is there to look after Lil Shauna, she will be trying to wipe this or that, wash clothes, wash toilets... no end. At this rate, our home will be very, very clean (in fact, it is very clean already and we thank Jaclyn for the good work) and our utilities bill will be very high. Lol! I hope I dun faint when I receive the bill this month.

Lil Shauna likes the Maid?

I supposed so. She was pretty wary of her at 1st but let Jaclyn carried shortly. Of course she still prefers Mummy to Auntie, which made Mummy very happy. Hohoho. However, that also means that Mummy had to squeeze behind in the passenger seat with Auntie and Lil Shauna.

Lil Shauna is a clever girl. It took a short while for her to realise that Mummy will say "no" whereas Auntie (like Nainai) will not. She's a princess to Mummy but queen to Auntie. Auntie seems to be on remote controlled by Lil Shauna. And she's of course delighted to have a playmate. Unlike Mummy, who is often distracted by the TV or talking to other adults while "pretending" to play with Lil Shauna, Auntie is Lil Shauna's fulltime playmate.

Lil Shauna is spending the entire day at home now bcos the she's on 1 week school holiday and not going to Popo's house in the afternoon. I think she's glad to have Auntie as a playmate but still gets bored by late afternoon. Yday, Mummy went back to work and Lil Shauna gets to spend time alone with Auntie. I supposed all went fine. She was sticky when Pappy had to go to work and plead Pappy to stay but apparently got distracted by a banana shortly. -_____-" Mummy had to work late last night and came home to be greeted by a happy Lil Shauna. She even put on a "welcome" dance for Mummy. That moment was priceless. :)

How is the Maid?

Her name is Jaclyn (but I think spelled differently). We picked her up on Sat afternoon. Today is her 5th day with us and she seems to be adapting well. It was made known to her that our (and hers as well) priority is the baby, housework will come 2nd. However, she seems better in housework than handling the baby. She has more initiatives when it comes to housework.

We have to agree that the house has become much cleaner after Jaclyn comes along. On the 1st few days, whenever she has time, she will sweep and mop and wipe and wash. I think the utilities bill will soar this month. Lol! She just have to learn that some things are urgent and has to be done 1st. For example, she was instructed to clean up Lil Shauna's drawer when she's free. She was halfway thru' and we instructed her to mop the floor instead bcos we wanted to bring the baby out to give her some time to do so. Instead of switching to mopping immediately, she still attempt to finish cleaning the drawer. -.o"

She also take a while to do the housework but that is bcos she will ended up doing more than what we tell her to. We told her to wash the dishes and she ended up cleaning the sink as well. But we are quite fine since we would like to spend time with Lil Shauna as well while Jaclyn is at the housework. Jaclyn is NOT to take over us as parent to Lil Shauna but to give us all a breather and an extra pair of hand when the need arises. Still, I agree that it is such a blessing to not have to chase after Lil Shauna when she runs amok in ToysRus. Hohoho.

Other than that, she's quite fine. Maybe bcos she's a returned maid and she knows that if she gets returned again, it will be tough to get another employer. The agency has been reminding her that and I have reminded her so as well. Maybe she was just trying to impress us and thus doesnt stop even when she has the free time. :) I hope she stays that way and not give me pattern after awhile. And pray that she will love Lil Shauna like her own.

I am Shauna

Long, long time ago, we taught Lil Shauna to understand that she's Shauna. She will pat on her chest when we asked her who is Shauna. :)

However, it seems to be lost on her who is Shauna after a while. As we fondly call her "baobao", she started calling herself "baobao" or "ah bao" too. We still call her "Shauna baby" but most of the time "baobao".

I am not sure if it is the PG that she's attending, but in recent times when we asked her who is Shauna, she will reply "baobao", provided that she's in a good mood. :) Yday, I was even more amazed. I asked her who is Shauna and she pointed to herself and said "baobao". When I asked again, she said "baobao stri-na, baobao na-na". That moment - priceless. :)

My baby is growing up and starting to string words. I get so amazed at the things that she sometimes tell me. :) How not to not love her? :)

The Maid is Coming

We will "collect" the transferred maid this Sat after work. And this will start the 1st of the many changes. My sis will shift into the computer room and we will no longer have a computer room. Lil Shauna will eventually learn to sleep in her own room with the maid. Lil Shauna will no longer go to Popo's place. Instead, she will spend the morning with the maid and the maid will bring her to PG. Popo will only drop in in the afternoon to check on them.

It is good that Daddy Lim is on night shift now. Cos although he will be sleeping most of the time, he will be in the house and this will probably deter the maid from doing stupid things or to be able to seek help if need be.

Pls help to pray that the maid will be good enuff for us. We are not picky and Lil Shauna is our 1st priority. Pray that the maid will love Lil Shauna and take care of her as much as we do.

Yu Sheng

We were just in time for Yu Sheng this year. We came back (from Hkg) on day 14 of CNY and had Yu Sheng at Nainai's place on the last day of CNY. Lil Shauna truly participated in lao yu sheng this year.

She was glad to be given her own chopsticks and imitated the adults in the tossing. When all was done, she was even more happy to be left unrestricted in picking up the crackers and sending them into her mouth. Surprisingly, she love the vegetables too. It must be all the sweet, sweet and sour, sour sauce. She will attempt to dig a big bunch using her chopstick and shove them into her mouth. -_____-"

I think she enjoyed the yu sheng most this year. Lol!

Daddy Lim is going on Night Shift (Again)

Daddy Lim started on night shift last night. Lil Shauna and I spent Sunday afternoon tagging along my bro's family to roam the streets and find dinner thereafter. Luckily, Lil Shauna woke up at 5.30am (dun ask me why) and had her nap early. Thus, bedtime was early too. So, it is 4 weeks of torture and I am already starting to count down.

The intention was for Dharen to come before Daddy Lim goes on night shift but things flopped. Dharen is confirmed not coming. We saw the returned maid on Friday evening. I think her name is Jaclyn or something. Small build and pleasant-enuff looking. We will be taking her, at least she can help and let us tong past this night shift. We will change her if she's not good. Since she's already in Singapore, we will be able to pick her up on coming Sat. It is then time to set routines + do all the window grills and install telephone lines and fixed cameras and shift rooms. Busy, busy..

I hope Jaclyn will be here to stay. I am not picky. My main concern is Lil Shauna, the housekeeping part can come second. This has been made known to her. I had been praying that we will get a maid who loves Lil Shauna as her own. I hope this is the one.

With the arrival of the maid, there will be many adaption to make and pls pray that things will fall in place nicely.

Dharen is not Coming

Sob. We selected Dharen right after our Desaru trip. That is in beginning Feb. Then, it was basically a waiting time. Wait for her passport to be ready, for her to be arranged to go for medical and finally to wait for her medical results.

We had wanted her to be here on 1 Mar 10, so that we have a week with her before Daddy Lim goes on night shift. Things got delayed and her arrival was pushed to the 1st weekend of Mar, then to the 2nd weekend. We are so looking forward to her arrival.

Then, the agency bombed me yday. The agent called to say that Dharen passed her medical but their PHL agent says that there is something wrong with Dharen's passport and needs to be rectified. Although promised that it will only take one day to rectify, there was no news from the PHL agent despite repeated chasers from Singapore side. This is what the agent told me, how true? I duno.

So, the Sgp agent advised us to drop the maid and picked a new one. -______________-" Even if we do managed to choose a new one with valid passport, it will take a while for them to go through medical, come to Singapore, etc. Boohoo! The Sgp agent has a returned PHL maid with them now. She has worked with her previous employer for 4 months and was returned. We are gg to go look at her this evening. Haiz.. Pls pray that God will lead us to somebody who will truly love Lil Shauna.

This is Lil Shauna's new phrase. She's trying to say that she doesnt want (fill in the blank). And she usually uses it on top of her "no, no, no", to stress how bad she doesnt want the thing.

7th Day & Back at Work

Sore throat - checked.
Sore eye - checked.
Stuffy nose - checked.
Fever - I think it is gone!!!!!!!!!! Hooray!

I surrendered to fever yday afternoon and popped 2 Panadol when I was burning at 38.7 degrees. Then, I took a 3-hour long nap and woke up soaked in sweat but fever-free. Fever has not come back since. Hehehe. No fever at all last night when for the past few days, fever always zoomed past the 39 degree mark in the night. Happy leh. The rest of the ailments do not irritate me so much, the sore throat has also become bearable. At least, I have more energy without the fever.

The antibiotics must have taken effect. I thank whoever that invented antibiotics. Muakz.
I hate Panadol now. I have never taken so many Panadol over a consecutive no. of days in my life. I have never gotten a 39 degree fever before. Now I know how Lil Shauna feels when she's burning with fever. Her fever always go up to 39 degrees de. Haiz..

Sick, Still Very Sick

Today is the 6th day that the fever is raging and it is still here. The sore eye doesnt bother me much, just that I have swollen eyes. The sore throat is bad, in fact, worse. -.o"

I went to see a doc on Sunday after returning to Singapore. The doctor says that the sore eye is definitely from Lil Shauna. Great! -.o" and the sore eye virus always bring with it cough and runny nose. I remembered sneezing and coughing here and there + stuffy nose (which I usually have), but no leh, no flu leh. I am still contagious and asked me to take care of personal hygiene.

As for the throat, it is a nasty infection that is totally separated from the sore eye. The fever could be from the sore eye or throat or both. I bet it is the throat cos my throat always hurt like mad when the fever comes back.

I was told that the fever will not go away for the next few days until the antibiotics take effect, which needs about 2 days. -.o" I was given 2 days of MC. Die, I was just teasing and laughing at my colleagues who fell sick after holidaying. Must be bad karma, retribution. Lol!

We spent Sunday at Nainai's place. Mummy Lim was again like a dead log with not much energy. Lil Shauna was taken care by Nainai and Aunty Chris and Daddy Lim most of the time. Ooorrrhhh, I love my family.

Yday was Lil Shauna's 1st day of school at the new playgroup. I sent Lil Shauna to school with my mum. I was forbidden to enter the class due to my sore eye and has to peep at them from outside. My mum was worried that Lil Shauna cannot get used and stayed with her throughout the 2 hours. There were many other caregivers there too, but they slowly escape as the class proceed. Only 2 other caregivers sat through and one of them had been attending the PG for awhile already. The class seems manageable with the help of the caregivers. Otherwise, I wonder how messy things will be.

I stand outside and peeped at them for 2 hours. When class was over, my mum suggested for us to go look at one of the churches that we have shortlisted for Lil Shauna's pre-nursery through kindergarten. I dragged my feet and was half dead when I was there.

We toured the compound and found the environment pleasing. The classrooms are air-conditioned and there are big open spares for outdoor activities. But they just started the classes this year. That is my only concern. Otherwise, distance wise, this is probably the nearest to home.

By the end of the tour, I was almost dead and wanted to go home. We went to my mum's place and I sleep from 1pm to 4pm after lunch. I was that tired.

Still feverish this morning. Shouldnt the antibiotics supposed to start working? The throat is bad. Somehow, I got nose mucus and sore throat has extended upwards to the nose. It hurts so bad when I try to swallow now. I am drinking tons of cold water and am refusing Panadol. My mum has brought Lil Shauna to school in the morning and to Centris. I can afford to walk around feeling half dead today.

Pls let me recover. Sob. I have never fell so sick before. My body is full of medicine and Panadol. -_________-" Mummies cannot afford to be sick.

HongKong Part 4

Our last day in Hongkong. My fever will go away only with medicine and will come back after when the medicine loses effect. -.o"

We had breakfast and started roaming the street after we checked out. Our flight is only at 8.30pm and we had to check out by 1pm. Daddy Lim and I managed to do some walking around while the kids played in one of the rooms. When we returned, the room was like war zone, just like how our dinning tables were after each meal. Scary.

We went to the Starwalk. Then for lunch and headed back to the hotel to wait for the transport.
It was just too tough to try to walk aimlessly with 5 kids. In fact, it was a nightmare. We rather let the kids run around in the hotel lobby and create a nuisance to the other hotel guests. Oops, Sorry.

We reached the airport and it was finding dinner and more running around for the kids. There is also a store selling Disney products in the airport and Lil Shauna again had a good time chasing bubbles. :)

We started walking towards the gate at 8pm and was surprised to find the gate very, very far away. We even needed to take the sky train. By the time we arrived, it was already final call and we were the last few passengers to board, which is good bcos it means lesser waiting time.
Lil Shauna asked for her milk and fell asleep shortly before we took off. I liked it that way too. I rather take care of a fully awake and jumping Lil Shauna after we arrived in Singapore then to try to restraint her and make her sit down in the plane.

The other 4 kids were much awake and they started running up and down the aisles. Faint. Not only were they laughing and screaming, crying takes place every few minutes too. I really pity the passengers along the aisles and kept hoping that the kids wun wake Lil Shauna.

They did not but woke another sleeping baby who started crying badly and for a long while. I think that crying baby's parents must have hated the kids or the kids parents who didnt take their children in hand.

After all the running and playing, they started falling asleep one by one but that was already nearing arrival time. One of my SIL's friend's kid couldnt stop crying and woke Lil Shauna. Luckily, she was again manageable.

We finally touch down in Singapore after midnight and arrived home at 1+am with an awake Lil Shauna. But she was tired too and fell asleep after her milk. Hehehe, nice hor.

That's all for our Hkg trip. Stupid fever + sore throat and eye. Otherwise, we would have done much more. Haiz. I must be salted vegetable life. Worked so hard and can finally go holiday and have to fall sick while on holiday. Pui!

HongKong Part 3

Day 3 was bad. The low grade fever persisted and I developed a nasty sore throat. We went to Ocean Park. I felt weak all over but tot that it was unfair to keep the rest in the hotel with me and I dragged my feet along. I was still feeling alright upon arrival. I couldnt find much energy to talk and kept my strength to keep walking. Lil Shauna was willing to stick to Daddy Lim, heng ah.

We took long escalators after escalators to reach the top. Then we went for the dolphin show.

After the dolphin show, my fever was promoted to a 38+ degree fever. -.o" There is a lack of photos from Day 3 onwards bcos Daddy Lim had to concentrate on taking care of Lil Shauna while I had to concentrate on walking. Haha.

We then took a long cable car ride to the other part of the park.

Lil Shauna was enjoying herself in the cable car. It was a nice ride.

The cable car brought us downhill to a newly developed part of Ocean Park with more kiddy rides. I have heard how run-down Ocean Park is and how people advised us to save $$ and skipped the park but was actually surprised at how big and well the park is.

We walked around somemore and took more photos and Daddy Lim took Lil Shauna to see the Panda Bears while I rested. I was too tired and weak even though my job for the day was only to concentrate on walking.

We had a simple lunch and I decided that I couldnt go on. I knew that there are many kiddy rides and playground for Lil Shauna ahead, I know I am throwing good $$ away. The entrance was expensive, Hkg$250 per pax! But I was simply too sick to walk. My mum was so nice to accompany us back, fearing that Daddy Lim will not be able to take care of Lil Shauna alone.

We took a cab back to the hotel and Lil Shauna fell asleep in the cab. I had peace... and dived into the bed upon arriving at the hotel room. Stupid fever and sore throat + sore eye. The fever didnt go away and I had no choice but to see a doctor in Hkg. I was diagnosed with upper respiratory tract infection and was given Panadol + some anti-inflammation medicine. Then it was bedtime for me again.

The fever finally went away in the late evening with the medicine. Phew. I was finally hungry and start eating after nibbling like a mouse for the past few meals. After Lil Shauna fell asleep, Daddy Lim and I even managed to sneak out for supper + some shopping. Many shops were still opened at 11pm. :) I got a top. Hehe. One of my few purchases in Hkg. Hkg leh, shopping paradise leh. Haiz, what to do.

HongKong Part 2

We went to DisneyLand again for more rides, shopping and photos taking.

I had to start wearing my sunglasses cos I got Lil Shauna's sore eye while she's starting to recover. -.o"

Daddy Lim made Lil Shuana and me take photo with King Arthur's sword. He was so thrilled with the sword. I wonder why...

We managed to take many nice pictures with Mickey Mouse's friends, but just not with Mickey Mouse bcos the Q was too long. Hehe.

Lil Shauna even managed to take a solo pix with Daisy. But that was the first and only character that she's willing to do so. She likes Pooh Bear too. Hehe.

Then it was more rides. Yes, we took the same rides. No doubt that DisneyLand is a place for little kids, but toddlers still have limited rides to take.

And bubbles time. They have this bubble machines everywhere, especially near retail areas. The bubbles are free for all, probably to attract the kids and lure the parents to the mechanise and allowed the parents to shop leisurely while the kids go crazy over the bubbles.

It was finally time to leave DisneyLand for Tsum Sha Chui. Upon arrival, I was down with a low grade fever that didnt go away with rest. The hotel room was much smaller. There were 2 single beds and a 3rd added bed. Yes, that's me trying to sleep the fever away while my mum and Daddy Lim kindly brought Lil Shauna downstairs for a walk or to my bro's room to give me some peace.

We went to the Peak in the evening. It was a MRT ride and a steep uphill walk away. Luckily, Lil Shauna allowed Daddy Lim to ergo her all the way.

It was cooling at the Peak, but I was freezing cold from the fever.

Lil Shauna grew super cranky while waiting for the tram to go downhill and fell asleep soon after. -.o" It was only 7+pm. She woke up at the hotel and my mum and Daddy Lim had to take turns to entertain her. Mummy Lim was unconscious with fever, hoping to sleep the fever away.
Daddy Lim actually tuck Lil Shauna to bed that night and shared the bed with her.. OOorrrrhhhh, how sweet, right? It is father and daughter bonding time. Hehe.

HongKong Part 1

We are back. The trip went well, other than the fact that I fell very sick and Daddy lim and I both got food poisoning in the beginning. I think it is the bah cho mee from the airport. -.o" We are so glad that Lil Shauna was willing to let Daddy Lim carry and ergo her in Hkg. Not only does it makes our $120 (on the ergo) investment worth it, but also we would have all died if Lil Shauna insisted to stick to the sick Mummy Lim. -______-"

Our flight was at 6.50am and we had to wake a grumpy Lil Shauna up at 4am to catch the pre-arranged transport to the airport. Lil Shauna was much co-operative when she saw the gorgor and jiejies in the transport (fyi, we went with my mum, my bro's family and my SIL's friends family, total of 7 adults to 5 children). Lil Shauna was happily running around and taking photos in the airport. It is so rare to get all the kids in the pix.

We took a few more pix before Lil Shauna started dozing off while Daddy Lim carried her, right before we boarded the plane. Woohoo! The plane ride was super smooth with a sleeping Shauna. Things went just as planned. Hehe. Lil Shauna woke up about an hour before arrival to Hongkong and was pretty manageable.

Upon arriving in Hkg, we went straight to Disneyland! Mickey Mouse and friends greeted us right at the doorstep.

There are just Mickey Mouse and friends everywhere in Disneyland! Lil Shauna must be quite thrilled for she recognises Mickey Mouse. :)

After awhile, we met with a really grumpy Minnie Mouse who needed her afternoon nap and missed a really nice ride. Too bad..

We also took merry-go-round and flying dumbo.

We even saw SuperMan!

We then caught the daily parade AND finally heading back to the hotel for some rest before returning to Disneyland in the evening for the famous fireworks. :) These are basically floats. There are dancing crews and loud music too. Very entertaining.

The hotel room is amazing. There are 2 big beds, which is so unlike Hkg hotels. As usual, we had a jumping Lil Shauna.Almost everything in the hotel has Mickey Mouse on it.

It just brings out the child in you.

We went back to Disneyland in the evening for the fireworks show.
It is supposed to be one of the highlight of the Disneyland visits. However, Daddy Lim needed the toilet right before the show starts and we were amazed at how few and far the toilets are in Disneyland. As I have to carry and entertain the princess, Daddy Lim brought the bag AND THE CAMERA along. -.o" Midway through the fantastic fireworks, Lil Shauna got frightened and started crying. She insisted that we took cover in one of the shops and we all missed the fireworks. Daddy Lim only returned from the toilet when the show was over. -.o"

Finally, we headed back to the hotel to end our long day.
